Our contract with main contractor ISG encompasses control and monitoring of critical services in this technically advanced facility.

Monument Place is a new 12 floor building which features nearly 8,000 square meters of office space plus two ground floor retail units sited near the Monument.

Lloret Fire & Security where awarded the project by Mace MEP Services to design, install and commission the fire alarm, vesda, disabled refuge, CCTV, access control and CCTV systems.

The fire alarm system consists of some 600 Gent devices using the voice alert option on a phased evacuation basis connecting back to a six loop Gent Vigilon addressable control panel repeater panels are installed at key locations. A Vesda system is also interfaced to the main system.

The disabled refuge system consists of a Baldwin Boxall control panel with 11 outstations, there are also 23 disabled toilet alarms communicating with the same panel.

The CCTV system consists of 13 static and 2 controlled IP based cameras of Honeywell manufacture connecting back to a 6TBNAS drive for data storage with control from personal computers situated in the fire command center and reception.

The access control system consists of 11 controlled doors complete with all ancillary items connected to the same personal computers as the CCTV system. An interesting late addition was a requirement to integrate the access control system to Lifts to enable the calling and allocation of the lifts via the access control proximity.

The Lloret Fire & Security team were appointed by Lend Lease, the main contractor, on behalf of BBC to strip out and install a all new Fire Alarm & Emergency  Voice Communication system. Starting in May 2015 and completing in December 2015.  The system consisted of 2 x 8 Loop Advanced Panels and with Apollo detectors throughout the building.

We also installed a 16 Way EVC control Panel at the reception desk & combined Refuge units and fire telephones throughout the building.

Due to the studios being partially in use, we had to adhere to +

some out of hours works and also make sure we made minimal disruption and noise pollution due to the studios having live crowds at some stages.

Close liaison with the Lend Lease team and the Landlord BBC ensured a successful project with minimal disruption and continuity of business for the client.
